You can freely set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed for movie
shooting. Using manual exposure to shoot movies is for advanced
users.

Set the Mode Dial to <k>.
X The reflex mirror will make a sound,
then the image will appear on the
LCD monitor.

Select [Movie exposure].
Press the <M> button and under
the [Z1] tab, select [Movie
exposure], then press <0>.

Select [Manual].
X Select [Manual], then press <0>.

Set the shutter speed and
aperture.
To set the shutter speed, turn the
<6> dial. The settable shutter
speeds depend on the frame rate
<9>.
8/7 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/60 sec.
6/5/4 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/30 sec.
To set the aperture, hold down the
<O> button and turn the <6>
dial.

Set the ISO speed.
Press the <D> button and press the
<Y> <Z> keys or turn the <6>
dial to select the ISO speed.
